HONORING KEYNOTE SPEAKER MELISSA STERN

Melissa Stern spent a decade as a news reporter. During her journalism career, Melissa interviewed a wide variety of high-profile figures, such as former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Grammy Award-winning artists Ludacris and Sheryl Crow.

While working as an on-air reporter for Atlanta TV news station CBS46, Melissa was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer at the age of thirty-one. She created a series of television video segments and online blog entries to share her journey and help others.

As a breast cancer survivor, Melissa volunteers as the Social Media Director for a local nonprofit, “Team Maggie’s Dream,” which helps provide financial assistance for fertility preservation to young adults about to undergo cancer treatments.

Melissa is currently the Director of Corporate Communications for AAHOA.
